The Department of 安全和应急管理 directs the development, implementation, and maintenance of the College's emergency management program。 The department enables, promotes, and supports the College community in effectively preparing for, responding to, and recovering from emergencies。
In addition to college-wide efforts, the Department of 应急管理 is available to guide departments in developing and improving their emergency plans。
CougarAlert
CougarAlert instructions or 标准回应程序 are transmitted via a Collin。edu email address, SMS message, and campus speakers after confirming an actual emergency or significant incident。
Students, faculty, and staff members are automatically enrolled using the phone number provided。 鼓励个人核实他们的联系信息。
Collin College utilizes the I Love U Guys 基金会's Standard Response Protocol (SRP) to ensure a clear, consistent, and action-based approach to emergencies。 This aligns our response procedures with local School Districts, promoting seamless coordination between K-12 schools, first responders, and our college community。 Using a shared language for emergencies enhances safety, reduces confusion, and improves response efficiency across campuses。
- 避难所。 Immediately relocate to an identified shelter location on the first floor when you receive a CougarAlert indicating a Tornado Warning。 Remain calm and await further instructions。
- 疏散。 Immediately relocate at least 300 feet from the facility during a fire alarm, gas leak, bomb threat or when directed。 保持冷静,等待进一步指示。
