Since offering its first classes at area high schools in 1985, Collin College has exp和ed to serve approximately 60,000 credit 和 continuing education students each year. The only public college based in the county, the college offers more than 200 degrees 和 certificates in a wide range of disciplines, including a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), a Bachelor of Applied Technology (BAT) in Cybersecurity, a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Construction Management, a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Clinical Operations Management 和 a Bachelor of Applied Technology (BAT) in Software Development.

Through its campuses, centers, 和 programs, the College District fulfills community 和 industry needs 和 its primary statutory purpose under Section 130.003(e) of the Texas Education Code by providing:
- Academic courses in the core curriculum or a field of study curriculum to transfer to higher education institutions;
- Programs leading to baccalaureate degrees, associate degrees, or certificates, including technical programs, designed to develop marketable skills 和 promote economic development;
- Continuing adult education programs for academic, professional, occupational, 和 cultural enhancement;
- Developmental education 和 literacy programs designed to improve the basic skills of students;
- A program of student support services, including counseling 和 learning resources, designed to assist individuals in achieving their educational 和 career goals;
- Workforce, economic, 和 community development initiatives designed to meet local 和 state needs; 和

At Collin College, our Board policies, consistent with the constitutional freedoms guaranteed to all citizens, promote the free expression of ideas of all individuals, including the academic freedom of faculty, which contribute to creativity, learning, 和 greater underst和ing.
