Collin College welcomes the public to a free music series in April and May at its Plano and Wylie campuses. Community members are invited to come and enjoy these free concerts performed by the college’s talented student musicians.

This concert will include performances for two, three, and four pianists at a time as well as works for piano with other instruments all performed by the Collin College 键盘合奏.

Warren Martin’s 灰姑娘的真实故事 is a charming and witty one-act operetta that brings a fresh, humorous twist to the classic fairy tale. Originally composed for Westminster Choir College in the 1950s, this delightful work features a lively, spoken-and-sung narration, playful ensemble writing, and a cast of colorful characters. With its clever libretto and engaging melodies, 灰姑娘的真实故事 has become a beloved favorite among choral ensembles and opera programs, captivating audiences with its blend of comedy and musical charm.

The 新音乐合奏 will present a concert of original works by Collin College student composers focusing on contemporary experimental music.

This guitar recital will feature students performing classical guitar solo works from the Renaissance to the present day.

Don’t miss this unique program showcasing a blend of Russian masters and beloved Western composers featuring works by Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich, Prokofiev, Churchill, and Donizetti.
