Sept. 3, 2021 — The winners of Collin College’s annual Outstanding Professor Award and the Recognition of Service and Excellence (R.O.S.E) Award were announced during All College Day in August.
Mindi贝利所
The Outstanding Professor of the Year award went to Mindi贝利所, professor of Humanities at the Frisco Campus and the iCollin Virtual Campus. She was recognized for her dedicated service to student success, the college, and the community. Student evaluations commended Bailey for her commitment to going above and beyond for her students and providing a variety of creative approaches in her teaching.
伦纳德·埃文斯
The college also honored the Outstanding Adjunct Professor of the Year 伦纳德·埃文斯, adjunct professor of Japanese at the Plano Campus. Evans built the college’s Japanese program from the ground up, and his engaging teaching methods and guidance have inspired students to learn more and continue their studies.
雪莉Scamardo
The winner of the R.O.S.E Award was 雪莉Scamardo, program manager for Seniors Active in Learning (SAIL), an educational opportunity for life-long learners (55 and older) to participate in organized study, discussion, and social events. This award honors staff members who consistently demonstrate the college’s core values via service to the college, staff, students, and/or the community. The award is Collin’s highest staff recognition.
