Collin College celebrates the extraordinary life of former Trustee and Board Chairman Sam Roach, who passed away on December 30. A native of Frisco and an icon of Collin County, he has been associated with business and community leadership throughout his life but particularly with his support of education for all. Sam was instrumental in the creation of our Frisco campus which has served many tens of thousands of students since opening thirty years ago. Several dozen Collin College students have benefitted by his generosity through scholarships. Additionally past and current leadership of the college have been extremely fortunate to call him mentor, supporter, and friend. Our prayers, sympathies, and gratitude are extended to Judy and his devoted family.
