Student photography is the focus of “Kaleidoscope,” the annual student photography portfolio exhibition in The Art Gallery at Collin College from May 21-June 12. A closing reception is planned from 5-7 p.m. on June 12. The public is invited to attend this free exhibition and reception.

The artists in the exhibition are students in the Spring 2025 Photography Portfolio class taught by Collin College Professor Lisa Means. The advanced studio class requires photography students to create a cohesive series of works, preparing them for careers in commercial photography.

In addition to the conceptual and instructional guidance for their collections, Means complemented the coursework with arranged portfolio reviews from five professional advisors in the Dallas area – such as editors, photographers, and designers – who assisted the students on creating a personal website for their work, advised them on effective use of social media, and collaborated with The Art Gallery at Collin College to curate and install the final photographic works in a formal exhibition. Student artists in this exhibition include Alisha Dhillon, Micalla Hudes, Jasmine Gramajo, Heather Johnson, Sabrina Miller, Vlad Roberts, Adrian Sandoval, Tianna Saulter, Vo Tran, and Vy Tran.

The gallery is located on Collin College’s Plano Campus, Room A175, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano. 访问 the gallery's webpage, www.bc-jinsha.com/department/artsgallery, for hours. For more information about this or other exhibitions, email theartgallery@collin.edu.
