Collin College, Partnering Agencies to Conduct Active Shooter Training at Wylie Campus

Collin College is collaborating with Wylie and Sachse police and fire departments, and Wylie ISD to conduct an active shooter training on Sunday, Jan. 25 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Collin College Wylie Campus.

The exercise simulates a real-life emergency that aims to improve the level of preparedness and response capabilities of all agencies involved. This training is considered a proactive measure to ensure the safety and security of our students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Please be advised that this is only a simulation, and there is no actual threat to the public.

The community’s understanding and cooperation during this crucial training exercise is greatly appreciated by Collin College. The institution believes that the safety of the campus is a shared responsibility. Collin College recognizes that being prepared and working together is the best approach to ensure the well-being of everyone in the college community.
