Financial Literacy

What is financial literacy?

Simply put, financial literacy means knowing how to handle your money wisely. Many people struggle with financial literacy, even as adults. This is often due to misconceptions or a lack of understanding about what it entails. But, it's never too late to learn how to manage your money.

Financial literacy empowers you to be in control of your financial well-being and build a secure future. The five principles of financial literacy enable you to use money wisely, make informed decisions about your finances, create budgets, manage debt, and plan your financial future.

How do I learn more?

To help students learn more about financial literacy, Collin College has teamed up with Inceptia, a private, non-profit organization, to provide online financial education to help students gain important knowledge about the basics of personal money management.

Students will have access to videos, tools, articles, calculators, and much more.
