Feb. 9, 2022 — Collin College’s The Dignity Initiative will offer the Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) System of Self-Defense exclusively for females from 5:30-7 p.m., Thursday Feb. 24 at the Wylie Campus Conference Center, 391 Country Club Road in Wylie. The session is free and open to the public.

This semester’s The Dignity Initiative’s theme is Gender Violence.

Representatives from the Collin College Police Department and Fitness Center will discuss personal safety. Female attendees will preview some of the self-defense techniques and equipment used in the RAD program that Collin College offers to female students.

The Dignity Initiative works to raise awareness and inspire action on issues of violence against and oppression of women. For more information about The Dignity Initiative and upcoming events, visitwww.collin.edu/community/dignity/.
