Collin College welcomes the public to its annual free music series throughout November at its Plano and Wylie campuses. Community members are encouraged to come and enjoy these free concerts performed by the college’s exceptional student musicians.

The following events are free and open to the public, although reservations are encouraged for events in the Plano Campus’ John Anthony Theatre. All events will be held at the Plano Campus, at 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano, except for the Dec. 7 Keyboard Ensemble performance which will be held at the Wylie Campus Band Hall, 391 Country Club Road in Wylie.

The concert will feature classical and contemporary works for string orchestra and symphonic wind ensemble. Both ensembles feature Collin College music major and non-music major students.

吉他合奏
Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. in the John Anthony Theatre
Collin College’s award-winning One O’Clock 吉他合奏 will perform a program of music from various historical periods.

The Honor’s Voice portion of this program features elite vocalists from the vocal studios of Collin College performing operatic arias and art songs to showcase their accomplishments from the semester.

This concert will feature the Collin Jazz Combo PM, Jazz Combo Too 爵士实验室乐队, with works from multiple styles, including swing, bebop, fusion, Latin, and popular music.

The 新音乐合奏 will present a concert of original works by Collin College student composers focusing on contemporary experimental music.

This guitar recital will feature students performing classical guitar solo works from the Renaissance to the present day.
