Collin College Police Chief Scott Jenkins has been selected as the recipient of the Bill G. Daniels Award for Outstanding Administrator by the Texas Association of College and University Police Administrators (TACUPA).

This distinguished honor is recognized as a significant accolade within the higher-education public safety community across Texas. The award, which is decided by the TACUPA Awards and Scholarship Committee, recognizes administrators who have demonstrated exceptional service, innovation, and commitment to the highest standards of professional public safety in a college or university setting.

“Chief Jenkins truly embodies the level of professionalism and dedication that defines our commitment to safety at Collin College,” said Dr. Neil Matkin, Collin College district president. “His leadership ensures our college community remains a safe and secure environment for all our students, faculty, and staff.”

The award formally acknowledges Chief Jenkins’ leadership and outstanding administrative contributions to the Collin College Police Department and the broader field of campus security. Chief Jenkins was officially recognized and presented with the award at the TACUPA annual conference, which took place inFredericksburg this month.

“This is a significant honor to receive,” said Chief Jenkins. “I am humbled with the recognition. My work would not be possible without each and every person who is committed to the success of our entire department. I am incredibly grateful for the ongoing support and look forward to continuing our department’s mission to ensure a safe environment for our college.”

Collin Collegeserves approximately 60,000 credit and continuing education students annually and offers more than 200 degrees and certificates, including a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), a Bachelor of Applied Technology (BAT) in Cybersecurity, a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Construction Management, a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Clinical Operations Management, and a new Bachelor of Applied Technology (BAT) in Software Development.
